Multiplayer. Til about 3 years ago, I absolutely had no interest in it. I'd only play the single player campaign of anything, completely disregarding Multiplayer. The only Co-op I ever did was couch co-op with my cousin Tony. Wasn't really much of a team player at all, and I was happy with that.
However when TK (the Future Missus, to those not in the know) got me a 12 Month Xbox Live Gold membership for Christmas, I didn't want her money going to waste. That's when I got a hold of Craig, played through Gears 3, decided we should go through with 4 players on Insane, and if you don't know the rest, go listen to the Official Team DBAH Podcast #1. After a while, Team DBAH started Friday Night DBAHchery, our Multiplayer night where we get together with as many DBAHdians as we can fit in a match and have ourselves a great night of laughs and some sparse, occasional strategy. No matter what we play, the game itself could be complete shit, but the people who come out and join us make them some of the very best times I've had as a gamer.
Since I'm relatively new to Multiplayer games, My Top 5 Multiplayer Games are relatively new as well. These are games I've had the most fun with during our DBAHcheries and to be fair, these are all games that more that 4 players can play at a time. Personally, I consider any game that only accommodates 4 players to be a Co-op game, so games like Left 4 Dead or Borderlands (though great games) aren't going to be on this list. I'll get to a Co-op list later. For now, let the countdown begin.
5. Gears of War 3
Aside from a great campaign and amazing graphics that truly pushed the limits of the 360 at the time, Gears was really the first game I played multiplayer in. It's fast paced, visceral and really fun to play. From deathmatch to Horde mode, you're going to have a great time with this game.
4. Halo 4
For me, Halo was the game that really got me into the idea of a video game being a shared experience. My cousin Tony and I played the campaign of Combat Evolved more times than i can remember. I used to play so many Firefight matches in Halo Reach. When Halo 4 came out, it was a crowd pleaser and a half for DBAHcheries and is still in rotation to this day.
3. Assassin's Creed 4
Whenever AC4 is announced as the DBAHchery for the week, I know we're going to have an insanely fun time. Especially if Heather is playing that night. From rounds of Wanted when we have a crowd to Wolf Pack when the rest of the folks leave for the night, it's always a great night. There's always a lot of screaming, laughing, and sometimes quiet, dignified weeping. Also, of course, soup man watching (Official Team DBAH Podcast #39).
2. Call of Duty: Ghosts

Sure, I know I'll get a lot of shit for this, but that's life, right? I am a Call of Duty guy. Sorry to let you down kids.. Oh wait, no I'm not. To be completely honest with you, until CoD: Black Ops, I never played CoD Multiplayer. I only played the campaign because I enjoyed the story and I'd heard so much crap about how awful the CoD Multiplayer community is. Well we played Black Ops for a DBAHchery and I had a hell of a time, so I figured I'd give Ghosts a chance. Although the campaign was lacking, the Multiplayer does not disappoint. The new squad mode makes it possible for people who've never picked up a CoD game before to feel welcome. It gives the player a chance to practice till they hit level 10, so when you do venture into matchmaking, you have an idea of what you're doing so you actually stand a chance against the more seasoned players. I actually liked the Multiplayer so much that i got the Season Pass. That's something that does not happen with me and video games very often. Also, the Extinction mode is ridiculously fun. At first i though it'd be a stupid idea to bring aliens in and it still very may well be, but you'll be having too much fun to notice.
1. Titanfall
This is the most fun I have ever had in a video game. I honestly feel like a kid again. When I hear a Titan break the atmosphere and see that beautiful hunk of metal hit the ground, It's totally, amazingly, awesomely awesome. There was campaign. I couldn't tell you what the story was about and normally that would bug the shit out of me. In Titanfall, I don't care. Example of how much I love this game? I'll play it outside of DBAHcheries. A precious time that I could use to play my formally precious single player campaigns is now spent rodeo-ing enemy Titans and calling down my own. This game is pure unadulterated fun. Plain and simple. I love this game.
So there it is, folks. That's my top 5 Multiplayer Game list. How about you? Leave you Top 5 in the comments, you might win something! Thanks for stopping by! Also, come back here every Wednesday for the Official Team DBAH Podcast and please remember:
